I was told once that this, quoted from the Alternative
Service for Communion is one of the nation’s favourite
prayers:
Father of all, we give you thanks
and praise, that when we were still
far off you met us in your Son and
brought us home. Dying and living,
he declared your love, gave us
grace, and opened the gate of glory.
May we who share Christ's body live
his risen life; we who drink his cup
bring life to others; we whom the
Spirit lights give light to the world.
Keep us firm in the hope you have
set before us, so we and all your
children shall be free, and the whole
earth live to praise your name;
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Framingham Prayer
Suggested by Victoria
Lord, You say Your word is truth, therefore I choose to
believe what You say.
You say to trust Your love whatever my circumstances,
and do not fear.
So, Lord, I choose to do that today.
My Song is love Unknown
The first verse of a hymn that Rowena uses as a
prayer.
My song is love unknown,
My saviour's love to me,
Love to the loveless shown,
That they might lovely be.
O who am I,
That for my sake
My Lord should take
Frail flesh and die?

The Prayer of St Francis of Assisi
Lord, make me an instrument of your
peace,
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy;
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so
much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to
eternal life.
